A Word from Dr Wright

| Is this the future you really want for yourself? |
With more than 25 years in practice seeking out more effective and more practical solutions to the riddle of chronic illness, I've had a lot of experience dealing with chronic health problems.
My specialty is understanding the root of a chronic health problem, then combining a variety of approaches to promote the body's own ability to repair, restore, and renew itself.
If you are looking for a doctor to write you a quick prescription, I'm probably not the right doctor for you. You see, I have a scientific mind and like to work with patients who want to know what's really going on when they are ill.
I'm interested in people who truly want to get well, not in simply taking money from patients just to maintain them in a half-alive state.
Sure, I could give you a quick fix with a prescription. But when you have an ongoing condition, your body is trying to tell you something.
If the cause of your problem is not address and fixed, other manifestations will appear at a later date, perhaps leading to disability and even an early death.
For example, science has shown that inflammation in the body, which the patient isn't usually aware of, can lead to diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and many cancers.
This is why I want to know what your symptoms are saying, so we can fix the problem once and for all.
Especially if you have a chronic condition such as tiredness, I don't want to simply give you a pill to pep you up whenever your energy flags. I want to find out why you are fatigued, because the human body isn't meant to be a drag. It's meant to be full of energy.
Perhaps you battle weight. You've tried diet after diet, only to see yourself gain back every one of the pounds you shed-and likely more.
I'm not interested in putting you on yet another diet that will ultimately fail. I want to address the reason you are gaining weight, so we can fix the problem once and for all-and then you can enjoy life without continually feeling guilty every time you enjoy food.
In my training to become a physician, I developed the ability to investigate issues and come up with creative solutions. This enabled me to go beyond merely writing prescriptions that barely keep you ticking. It equipped me to eventually understand many complex pieces of the puzzle of health.
To assist in this process, I was fortunate to have a superb medical education that included:
- Graduating Phi Beta Kappa, Cum Laude, from the University of Colorado with a BA in Chemistry
- Being top of my class in math, physics, and chemistry at one of the leading science schools in the country
- Obtaining an additional medical license, the homeopathic medical license, which allows me to integrate advanced alternative therapies into my medical practice for more effective treatment of chronic health issues.

| Well being involves more than popping a "happy" pill. |
You can see that I enjoy unraveling the mystery of "what does the symptom mean?" Just like an indicator light on a car dashboard, symptoms are the body's way of telling us something isn't right.
If the oil light is on, you check the oil. You don't simply cover up the indicator light or punch it out! Symptoms have meaning. We need to find out what a particular symptom means.
In other words, when your body shows you a symptom such as fatigue, dry skin, or muscle pain, these are indicator lights. They are your body's ways of communicating that something is wrong.
Symptoms are not always easy to read. They can be like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that require some effort to sort out. But when rightly put together, they form a picture of how to make things right again.
Simply covering symptoms with a drug can't restore health. We have to evoke the body's own healing processes.
To accomplish this, I have to know what's going on in your body. This is why I've never been one to cram as many consultations into a day as possible. Instead, my consultations last 50 minutes.
Because being a physician is my passion, I constantly stay up to date with the newest scientific understanding of disease and wellness. Then I bring this science into the consulting room.
It's why I have completed thousands of hours of training with internationally recognized leaders in the conventional and alternative medical fields. I continually refresh my expertise by attending seminars and getting training in specific advanced techniques with experts from all over the world.
In a nutshell:
- My goal for my patients is to give them relief from symptoms by utilizing an individualized approach that will return them to health without the need for ongoing prescription medications and treatments
- I value returning my patients to their highest level of health possible by
- integrating more than 30 years of medical knowledge that brings results
- researching new treatments and therapies
- discarding things that don't work
- only recommending prescription medications or surgery as a last option
- My desire is to get at the root cause of the problem, not to just treat symptoms, and thus to really make a difference in people's lives.
In addition to the application of medical science, treatment may include specific foods, nutrients, herbs, homeopathic remedies, hormone balancing, physical protocols such as stretching, and less well-known therapies from Europe and Asia. It's generally a combination of these, not simply one, that restores health.
