Effective and Permanent PAIN Relief

Neck Pain
Trigger point treatment can relieve acute pain.

Why are we in pain?

We are in pain from inflammation and tight muscles that are in spasm.

Inflammation

From muscle spasms to joint pain, asthma, Alzheimer's, heart disease, chronic sinusitis, migraines, and more, recent medical research points to chronic inflammation as the cause.

These health issues are so prevalent today because many of us experience a continuous state of inflammation.

Not knowing any other way to deal with inflammation, many of us imagine we will have to live on anti-inflammatory medicine for the rest of our lives.

But I have good news for you:

Inflammation is not an anti-inflammatory drug deficiency.

Tight Muscles and Scar Tissue

Hip Pain
You don't have to live with migraines.

When a muscle is injured, the muscle tightens. Circulation is decreased, which means that less oxygen and nutrients are delivered to the muscle. Along with this, toxic metabolic products including lactic acid are no longer adequately removed. The result is that inflammation occurs.

As the repair process gets underway, adhesions and scar tissue form. This results in increased spasm in the muscle, which is experienced as cramping, burning, stiffness, numbness-and, ultimately, chronic pain.

Again, there is good news:

Muscle spasm is not a muscle-relaxant drug deficiency.

What Can You Do about Your Pain?

For an injury to heal normally, it's critical to support the body's ability to rebuild the damaged tissue. This requires specific natural therapies.

Additionally, when insufficient hormones are present to arrest inflammation and promote healing, the appropriate hormones need to be supplied. In other words, we supply the building blocks the body needs to repair, restore, and regenerate itself.

Next we are ready to treat the muscles themselves.

Back Pain
Your spine is the backbone of your life.

Pain is often caused by trigger points and scar tissue. Trigger points are small, painful areas within a muscle that has either been damaged or irritated. Microscopically, they are abnormal-appearing muscle fibers. Biochemically, they are known to release more than twenty different noxious substances that cause pain and muscle spasm.

Trigger points can occur in any muscle of the body. Often these points will radiate pain out into other areas, sometimes many inches away. So the source of the problem may not be where you are actually experiencing pain.

Trigger points are identified by gently palpating the muscle. Often they are located within a ropy band of tissue called a taut band or trigger band.

Trigger points and taut bands are encountered in Myofascial Pain Syndrome and can be aggravated by an injury, overuse of a muscle, disrupted sleep, poor eating habits, and stress.

Trigger point injections can help greatly reduce the pain, spasm, and inflammation caused by trigger points. Therapies such as injections of Lidocaine, along with other trigger point relieving techniques, help break up the trigger points.

In order to maintain the relief gained in the initial treatment, this treatment must generally be followed by additional physical medicine or physiotherapy. These further break up scar tissue and adhesions.

A simple but specific home program also helps reeducate the muscles to relax and regain their "muscle memory."

By combining a variety of techniques, injured, sick muscles and muscles in spasm can recover and become healthy again. Relief of symptoms and permanent healing can and does take place.
